Blog about our Blog- 'Paula's Place'

I love blogs that talk about our blog. Visit Paula's Place with the link below. I can't wait to see what fun stuff she does with chalkboard paint & Chalk Ink®. *quick Artista Pro tip* Chalkboard paint is a fun product that has grown very popular in decor circles. Since Chalk Ink® Markers remove particularly well from smooth non-porous surfaces, a semi gloss black (or any color for that matter) also works well with our markers, particularly if you plan to erase often. Chalkboard paint can be very absorbent, and may need an occasional touch up- but it definitely provides a great look! There are many surfaces to use Chalk Ink® Markers with. Send in your projects, we love to see!

the Fruit Salad!

Well, I have been bragging around the office today about the fruit salad that I made for Easter brunch with friends. Mostly I think I am amazed because I managed to finish it in time for our event- after getting back into town at 1 pm the night before. So here it is, garnished with a sprig of mint on top for a little creative oomphf! (I also tossed chopped mint in the salad with balsamic vinegar and just a spoonful of sugar). It was also served with a bowl of organic vanilla yogurt to 'dallop' on top and chopped candied pecans & cranberries as well. There you go!

Also, this is my good friend Kim, she works at the Jackson Ruiz Salon in Austin, near Whole Foods. One of the best hair colorists around....

June Winner- Erin Gallagher

New York dominates! Serious talent here folks! Don't be intimidated though, be inspired, just know that there is a lot that can be learned from these artists. Granted, the contest winners clearly have major creative DNA in their blood- but we believe everyone can add charm and color to their signs with a little effort, a lotta love and of course Chalk Ink®! Good job Erin & Eric!

Erin Gallagher

Ok, can you say wow?! Clearly amazing! Erin Gallagher holds court at the great Union Square Whole Foods Market in New York City. As we would say here at Chalk Ink®, this is a "really wow!" Check it out- The New York Artists use the Artista Pro on Plexi. Plastic is a great surface for either lines, Artista Pro or Wet Wipe.
